A Summer Wedding at St. Paul and J Liu Restaurant – Worthington
Nathan and Christine’s classic summer wedding started at St. Paul in Westerville and we ended the night with a grand celebration at J Liu – Worthington. First, we’re always excited to work in new venues. There’s so much new to capture! Both St. Paul and J Liu had awesome features that stand out from most venues. If you’ve ever seen us cover a wedding, you’ll know while I’m quietly sneaking around the ceremony, Craig (my husband and second shooter) is usually climbing up to the balcony and getting some creative shots. Well, St. Paul was amazing! There’s a massive skylight, surrounded by brilliant blue walls, speckled with golden stars. All this surrounds the altar which, from the balcony, is perfectly framed by the organ pipes. In other words, a dream for photographers.
After the ceremony, we ventured through downtown Westerville. I have to admit, this was one of my all time favorite bridal parties. On one hand, Christine’s brother and sister in law (both in the bridal party) were a previous couple of ours. It’s so nice to have familiar faces, not to mention they’re both some of the nicest people we’ve ever worked with! In addition to that, all the bridal party was just so easy going, fun, and we laughed through most of the day. Seriously, you guys make my job so fun!
We ended the evening with a grand celebration at J Liu Restaurant – Worthington. Again, a new venue. We were blown away just walking in! The venue is so unique, modern, and fun. With a rooftop balcony, curved ceilings, and amazing food, J Liu has quickly become a favorite venue that we can’t wait to visit again!
Throughout the day, the love between Nathan and Christine was ever apparent. Especially so during their first dance. These two almost had me shedding a tear. I honestly thought I was in the clear. However, I (and nearly everyone else in attendance) found themselves fighting back tears during Christine’s dance with her father. All in all, I could go on and on and about this amazing couple and their wonderful family and friends. But, I won’t. I’ll just leave you with a few of my favorite images from their big day.
