Jake & Kelsey’s Summer Barn and Millsite Lodge Wedding – Sandusky, Ohio
Today’s wedding is such a good one! I’ve been dying to share these photos with you all since the day I took them. There are so many reasons to love Jake & Kelsey’s summer barn and Millsite Lodge wedding. From bridal prep at Millsite Lodge to the ‘I Do’s’ on the Galloway family farm, to the final photos at sunset. Jake and Kelsey’s wedding was pure magic!
?
I had met with both Jake and Kelsey about a month before their big day. Jake explained that he’s the third sibling in his family to get married (three years in a row!) and it meant so much to him for he and Kelsey to wed on the family property.?Even if it meant clearing and cleaning a huge barn that stores tons of vintage and antique tractors and equipment. Now, that’s dedication!?
After much discussion, Jake and Kelsey decided to have a first look. Let me tell you, it was so worth it! Not only did Jake get a chance to relax and enjoy the day after the nerves washed away when he finally saw his bride, but we got some amazing portraits too! After walking Millsite Lodge and taking advantage of its beautiful landscape, we headed to the Galloway family farm for the ‘I Do’s’.
?
Kelsey’s great uncle served as the wedding officiant, a slight change after a long football career. Which even included playing on a Super Bowl Champion football team. One of my favorite parts of the wedding ceremony was the creation of their brand. They opted out of a unity candle and instead designed a custom brand and branded a slice of wood. This served as their guestbook.
?
There were so many little details Jake and Kelsey incorporated into their wedding day to make it their own. I’d run out of blog space and time if I tried to list them all.? Jake and Kelsey, we hope you love these photos as much as we loved working with you and your amazing families!
Congrats!
