Will & Payton’s Sunset Lake Erie Engagement Photos at Johnson’s Island & Bay Point Resort Beach
There’s an old saying, ‘third time’s a charm!’ It rang true for this sweet couple. We had planned Will & Payton’s sunset Johnson’s Island engagement photos twice before we actually lucked out on the third attempt. The first time, it was dreary, overcast, and rained nearly the entire day. The second time we planned, we got heavy thunderstorms and a tornado warning instead. However, the third time, we finally got clear, sunny skies!
We first met at Payton’s family’s lakeside summer home. A small staircase led us to the docks at Baycliffs which provided us with a gorgeous sunset glow off Lake Erie. We then strolled down to Ledge Park for a change of scenery. The boats docked on the lake reflected lots of golden sunlight and were a beautiful contrast to the shady trees inland. From the park, we drove down to Bay Point Resort and finished our session amongst the rocks, sand, and waters of Lake Erie. A stunning backdrop to top off our evening.
