Ringenberg Family’s Fall Family Photo Session at Kingwood Center
Welcome back to the blog sweet Magnolia! If you missed it, I had Magnolia in the studio for her newborn photos about six months ago. Man, the time has flown! I was so excited to see how much you’ve grown in that time! I’m so glad your mom chose to reach out to me to schedule your Kingwood Center family photography session this fall. And while we might not have had the best weather (it was a super chilly 40 degrees), we had sunshine and your bright smile! That made my job easy as pie!
When you plan for a photo session at Kingwood Center, I’ll tell you that I have three main spots I love for photos. We can make as many stops in as many different gardens and pathways as you please, but I’ll likely always make a stop at these three spots:
1. The brick archway
2. The fountain
3. The Park Ave facing side of the mansion
You can never go wrong with the brick archway. It’s beautiful. It has this magical way of harboring the best light in the gardens. Ok, maybe that’s not fact and it’s just my opinion, but trust me on it! And, it has beautiful ivy growing up the archway. Luckily for us, the ivy was still hanging on, even with all the cool temps, wind, and rain we’ve gotten. And, it was a brilliant reddish-orange that made the perfect backdrop with the brick archway.
While the fountain is a local favorite photo spot, we actually skipped it this time. I know, I know. I just told you these are spots I’d never skip. Well, the holidays can make me eat my own words. During the fall, while beautiful, the fountain is decorated with pumpkins, corn stalks, gourds, etc. We just didn’t feel like it fit the session this time. But, again, it’s generally a beautiful stop!
Lastly, we walked to the back of the mansion. I am a sucker for this side because the floor to ceiling windows make beautiful symmetrical lines. And the cream trim perfectly complimented this momma’s dress.
There you have it! A quick rundown of my fave spots for a Kingwood Center family photography session. Enjoy some of my faves from the Ringenberg family’s fall mini session!
