Kingwood Center Gardens Wedding & Courtyard Reception
Oh my goodness, do I have another gorgeous wedding for you! Drake & Bekah’s lavender and purple Kingwood Center Gardens wedding was a dream event, start to finish. Every little detail was meticulously planned. From a photographer’s aspect, this was a dream to photograph!
Unfortunately, I had not met with Drake nor Bekah before their big day. Bekah was in the midst of medical school and planning a wedding, in a pandemic, while attending medical school was already more than enough. Major props to Bekah because she did the most fabulous job! Superhuman multitasking abilities if you ask me! So, we met for the first time on the afternoon of their Sunday wedding. Craig found the guys getting ready at the Holiday Inn. I found the ladies doing final preparations in the beautiful, newly built, ballroom in the Kingwood Center Gardens Gateway Building. I love, love, LOVE the floor-to-ceiling windows in the ballroom. It gives the perfect light and airy look for getting those pre-wedding prep photos. Between the dreamy light and my ridiculously gorgeous bridal party, the end result had me in a photographer’s heaven!
BRIDAL PARTY & COUPLE’S PORTRAITS IN THE GARDENS
After a literal five-minute ceremony – the bride and groom really do hate to be the center of attention – we spent the next 40 minutes walking the estate and gardens to all the perfect photo locations. One of my all-time faves?! The South Lawn of the Mansion facing Park Ave. W. I’m an absolute sucker for the French Provincial style windows and the cream-trimmed dormer windows atop the mansion. It’s so perfectly picturesque! From there, we walked to the fountain and found some beautiful flowering trees. The perfect final stop for a couple more photos before the bride and groom made their grand entrance into their courtyard reception. After dinner and dances, I whisked Drake & Bekah off for some sun-soaked evening photos under the grand arch and in the rose garden. The perfect way to end the day!
Mr. & Mrs. Faris, we loved being a part of your day and can’t wait for you to see your full gallery. In the meantime, please enjoy some of my favorites!
