Earlier last week I received an email right before bed asking if I shot proposals. Of course, I instantly emailed back that I did and would love to again. Give or take 25 emails later, a meeting with the bride to be’s mother, and I found myself hanging out with this peacock as I eagerly awaited Aaron & Megan’s surprise Kingwood Center proposal.
As we planned through the week, we had to make multiple plans, while keeping it all a secret from Megan, as the weather was calling for a good chance of rain. We really lucked out. Sunday ended up being nearly 90 degrees and nothing but sunshine. I was so thankful. The way the sun shone through the trees with the fountain in the background is just what a photographer dreams of.
So, imagine my excitement as I waited anxiously as each person walked through the brick courtyard of Kingwood Center. Will this be my couple?! Let me tell you, once I finally spotted Aaron & Megan, my heart about exploded with excitement. It was happening! I can only imagine how Aaron felt as he perfectly navigated the gardens as we had planned like a game of telephone. You see, I never actually got to contact Aaron through the entire process in fear of Megan gaining suspicion. It was so important to keep the element of surprise. Instead, I spoke with Megan’s mother the entire time.
Everything went off without a hitch. Absolutely perfect. Aaron navigated exactly as we planned. Megan was completely shocked and blown away. Operation surprise Kingwood Center proposal was a success. And, the surprises didn’t end there. You see, the sweet groom to be, Aaron had secretly purchased a dress Megan had mentioned she loved. So, he and Megan’s mother planned for Megan’s sisters to meet them at Kingwood just after the proposal. They brought the dress so Aaron & Megan could have a mini engagement session while they were still on cloud nine.
Aaron & Megan, I’m so thankful to have been able to capture your proposal. Here are some of my faves from the day. Happy wedding planning!
